India: South African RB3 coal sold at INR 15,800/t at Vizag
In a confirmed deal, 2,000 t of South African RB3 4800 kcal/kg NAR grade coal was sold at INR 15,800/t at Vizag Port. Amid limited vessel arrival of South African coal, the availability of the both RB3 and RB2 (5500 kcal/kg NAR) grades is low. With resilient prices of RB2 coal (currently at INR 18,000/t), several sponge iron units are shifting to procuring Mozambique coal.
