China: Crude iron ore output increases 9% y-o-y in Jul'21

China, the world's largest consumer and importer of iron ore, recorded run of mine (ROM) production of 79.93 mn t in Jul'21, up 9% as against 73.02 mn t in Jul, according to data from the National Bureau of Statistics. Yearly output witnessed an increase, as in Jul output was impacted by COVID-related disruptions. However, on a monthly basis output fell compared to 87.87 mn t in Jun. During Jan-Jul'21, China's crude iron ore production stood at 570.2 mn t.
