China: Ferro chrome prices rise on production cuts in Sep'21

Domestic ferro chrome (HC 50%) prices in China have increased by RMB 100-200/t ($16-31), d-o-d, on expected production cuts of around 30,000-40,000 t in Sep'21. Stainless steel mills have started booking material actively despite the "energy control" policy on stainless steels. Currently, Inner Mongolia-based producers are offering HC 50% material at RMB 10,000-10,300/t ($1,550-1,597/t) exw, while sellers in Sichuan are offering at RMB 10,000-10,200/t ($1,550-1,581/t) exw.
