GAIL (India) Ltd. registered profit after tax (PAT) at INR 1,530 crore in Q1FY'22. The company recorded a turnover of INR 17,352 crore in Q1 vis-a-vis INR 12,060 crore in Q1FY'21. Rise in profits and improved margins are attributed to better performance in natural gas marketing and transmission and better realisations in petrochemicals and liquid hydrocarbons.Manoj Jain, Chairman and Managing Director, GAIL, said:"The company is focused on development of the National Gas Grid and is currently executing pipeline projects for around 8,000 km worth INR 38,000 crore."
