India: Melting scrap prices remain volatile across markets
Melting scrap prices remained volatile across markets on 28 May'22, as per SteelMint assessment. Prices at a few locations in western India increased by around INR 1,000/t, especially in the Gujarat market, while prices in the southern region-based Hyderabad market dropped sharply by around INR 2,000/t. The near-term outlook remains unclear as prices are fluctuating on daily basis, trader sources told SteelMint.
