Japan: Crude steel output forecast to rise over 9% on year in Q4CY'21

Japan's crude steel output is forecast to rise 9.6% in the Oct-Dec'21 quarter from a year earlier, helped by a recovery in manufacturing, according to the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry. The Ministry estimates crude steel output at 24.11 mn t for the quarter, up from 21.99 mn t in the same period last year, reflecting a pick-up in demand in auto manufacturing, machinery and exports.
